This was a big race. The entries were sold out and there were something like 1200 people running. Tarq and Claire wisely started up front and they never looked back. When the race ended Claire had finished fourth woman and absolutely decimated her age bracket. She set a new P.R. of 20:43, which is quite remarkable for a twelve-year-old! Tarq was only a few steps behind in a fast finish for both of them. For their next race we will have these two stars in raptors jerseys!

Claire finishes. She and Tarq were so far up at the finish that there were still a lot of people finishing when I left twenty minutes later.
